Muse of the Month: January 2011

A new year and a new start to challenges.  Let’s start our new year with selecting one of the fine New Mexicans as our muse.  The contenders are:

  1. Geronimo:  An Apache warrior chief, whose name means “one who yawns”
  2. Clyde Tombaugh:  The astronomer who discovered Pluto
  3. William Hanna: A partnered with Joseph Barbera to create famous TV animations such as: The Flintstones, The Huckleberry Hound Show, The Jetsons, Scooby-Doo, The Smurfs, and Yogi Bear.
  4. Georgia O’Keefe: An American artist known for her paintings of flowers, rocks, shells, animal bones, and landscapes in which she synthesized abstraction and representation.
